SOF Payback Xbox 360 Achievements
Payback’s a bitch and then you die… or at least you can put that phrase into motion with Soldier of Fortune: Payback, releasing next week for the PC and Xbox 360 (Nov. 13th) and for the PS3 (Nov. 20th). To help in prepping you for your upcoming mercenary activities, we have a list of the un-lockable achievements for the Xbox 360 version of the next-gen FPS.
Looks cool but I don’t think they could have picked a worse time for this game to be released!!!
Why is that?
Halo 3, The Orange Box, Bioshock, Call of Duty 4, etc. all of which are receiving a lot more attention and have larger marketing campaigns. Honestly I can see this game slipping underneath the radar which could be a shame if it turns out to be really good. Maybe they should have released it when there isn’t as much competition because most people will gravitate towards the more “known” games.
That’s true but I haven’t even bought either one of those games but I do plan on buying SOF Payback. Not everyone is going to buy the most mainstream games everytime they come out just because everyone else is. Also people who are dedicated to the SOF franchise will definitely be picking it up.
I agree with you but we all know hype can drive sales. How many anti-Halo people bought Halo 3? A LOT OF THEM. I also believe not really having much going on with the Soldier of Fortune franchise since SoF II came out 4 or 5 years ago will hurt them in brand recognition as well. I’m not saying that it’ll be a bad game but I didn’t know it was coming out this soon to be honest before you told me about it. I thought it was supposed to be a 2008 release.
